The preschool is located in Antnäs, about 20 kilometers south of Luleå. The preschool has large facilities and a spacious yard that invites play, movement, and exploration both indoors and outdoors. We are close to forests and nature, which we explore with all our senses. In the vicinity, there are schools, sports halls, shops, and bus connections.

The preschool is organized with age-appropriate groups across five departments, two departments for the youngest children aged 1-2 years and two departments for older children aged 3-4 years. The oldest children are together in department Ängen. The preschool is located near schools and leisure activities. We offer a safe and inspiring learning environment both outdoors and indoors, which challenges and supports children in their learning and development. Safety, self-esteem, and respect are prerequisites for everyone's learning, and therefore we work daily with values and interaction.

We are looking for an engaged preschool teacher who wants to help create health-promoting learning environments. With us, we actively work with safety, self-esteem, and respect as fundamental factors to promote good health among children.

Our focus is also on outdoor teaching, where we offer varied opportunities for learning through exploratory and playful learning processes. We believe in creating an inspiring and stimulating environment where children can develop and grow.

We base our work on a sociocultural and social constructionist perspective on learning. This means to us that it is in interaction with each other and in the environment that learning develops. Knowledge is created together by children and co-researching educators. Our work is based on children's interests, thoughts, hypotheses, and previous experiences.

As a preschool teacher at Antnäs Preschool, you contribute to ensuring that care and learning form a whole and you contribute to a positive and developing learning environment for the entire group of children and each individual.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you play a crucial role in children's development and well-being. You will have a multifaceted role and work closely with childcare workers and other staff at the preschool to create a safe, stimulating, and accessible education for the children. Your main responsibilities include:

• ensuring that goal-oriented processes occur and, together with childcare workers, conducting teaching where children's participation and influence are central
• ensuring that teaching in the preschool is conducted in accordance with the goals in the curriculum
• planning, implementing, and developing teaching together with the work team and for the entire preschool
• ensuring that the preschool's learning environments offer variety where children can further develop their abilities in an accessible learning environment for care, play, movement, health, development, and learning

You work to create safe and trusting relationships with both children, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed preschool teacher with the authority to teach in preschool and has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. It is advantageous if you have professional experience from working in preschool as well as knowledge of any of our minority languages or another language. As a person, you need to be structured and able to plan, organize, and complete your work. To succeed in the role, you must have the ability to meet different children's needs, create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and value collaboration while striving for collective success. Your creative ability to think outside the box when needed is also important. If you are selected for the position, you will need to present a valid extract from the criminal record.
